Marmaduke
Marmaduke was formed in 2003 as a band exclusively playing material previously recorded by Chalie Parker. Soon enough the group's reportoire evolved due to extensive touring and now includes a broad range of bop style songs. Original compositions by Marmaduke are deeply rooted in the 40's & 50's jazz tradition but contain elements of post-bop styles. Standards played by the band are spcifically selected and arranged to fit the particular sound of Marmaduke. Being children of their time, the band members are also featured in a variaty of Swedish music groups of differing styles, but are bound together by a special appreciation for the Bop tradition. Marmaduke's mission is to convey the message of the music they love in a genuine way, getting the energy across without interference.
