Peoria Jazzband
Formed in 1960, this top ranked and highly accomplished Swedish band from Gothenburg has built a big reputation all over Europe and USA for its really foot-tapping brand of "happy jazz".
The music of Peoria Jazzband covers jazz styles from New Orleans and Dixieland to swing. In addition to the great standard tunes by Louis Armstrong, Bix Beiderbecke, Fats Waller, Duke Ellington and others, Peoria Jazzband always look for interesting, less well known tunes. Vocalist Rosemarie Simonsen gives the music a very special touch.
