Ronny Johansson

Ronny Johansson, born in 1942, grew up in Uppsala, Sweden, and made his major debut accompanying Erie Dolphy at a concert in 1961 together with Rune CarIsson, drums, and Kurt Lindgren, bass. Having gigged locally in Uppsala, Lund and Göteborg, he has also had the privilege to play with some great musicians like Lars Gullin, Rolf Ericson, Art Farmer, Benny Bailey, Don Byas, Red Rodney and Warne Marsh. After studying classical piano 1972-1975, he has divided his time between playing and teaching. Since 1975 Ronny Johansson teaches piano at the State College of Music in Göteborg, Sweden.
We are proud to present Ronny's later recordings and we look forward to up coming albums.
