Pianist Ronny Johansson has an impressive collection of high class album releases behind him. Lately he plays on duo or trio, where he gets space for his elegant piano play. He has always a harmonic focus with nice melodic lines. Here are eight nice compositions and Vernon Duke's "I can't get started" in a homogeneous album with Yasuhito Mori on bass and Raymond Karlsson on drums.

This album is pleasantly layback with a nourishing relaxed mood. Ronny's fingers run harmonicly and romanticly over the keys. Göran Olsson Jazz Stage Ronny Johansson Trio treats you melodic and well played jazz. Jan Backenroth, Skaraborgs Allehanda. Just for fun, he says. But the result was fifty minutes of original and fresh jazz with live quality. Ronny has been inspired by jazz men like Michel Petrucciani. The Bassist Yasuhito Mori and drummer Raymond Karlsson also seem to like this kind of unbounded playing. Stig Jonasson, Smålandsposten. Eight Johansson compositions well worth hearing and Vernon Duke's "I Can't Get Started" in an exceptionally homogeneous jazz album. Lennart Blomberg.
