Freedom of Movement is the debut CD with her tenetett OH YEAH ORCHESTRA. "Freedom of Movement" is to a large extent the music that Martina Almgren was commissioned to write for the Swedish Jazz Celebration in Gothenburg 2009. The original suite has here been supplemented with five parts. "There’s a sort of red thread that makes me associate to different kinds of movement" Martina says. The album was recorded and mixed by the legendary sound engineer Åke Linton (e.s.t) together with Owe and Martina Almgren in Bohus Sound Recordings.
OH YEAH ORCHESTRA was born 2004 in Gothenburg. The band got a "flying start" with live performances in the Swedish television and radio followed by successful concerts at festivals and jazz clubs.
OH YEAH ORCHESTRA are ten great musicians and improvisers from the Swedish music scene.

Tio lyhörda lynnen lyssnar och lyser lystet lyriskt på varandra.
Tar i hand omkring orkesterns hjärta - Martina Almgrens glasklara och dynamiskt svängiga trumspel.
Blåsarnas toner flyger ut i rummet. Färgglada ballonger pulserande av rytm och glädje.
I "Böljande" ylar och stryper Magnus Broo sin trumpet. Spelar som sår i sockervadd. Tonerna i "Oh la la" studsar mot ackorden som en yster kula i ett jublande frispel i flipper.
